Description
Vintage Hopalong Cassidy Chip Tin - 1950's.This 11 1/2 tall and 7 1/2" diameter potato chip tin was called the large, economy size by Kuchmann Foods, which produced the chips. The company also put chips in Hopalong Cassidy bags, the 1 1/4 oz bag which sold for 10 cents and the 4 1/4 oz bag which sold for 25 cents.
This tin is in good shape, no dents or rust, but does have some scratches simply from use. The pale yellow showing western symbols such as covered wagons, pistols, stage coaches and boots is still visible at the top and the bottom of the tin. The Bar 20 Bulletin on the top of the lid is very, very clear. The tin shows oxidation on the inside as with any 70 year old unpainted tin normally is. The impression stamp on the bottom of the tin says Cans, Inc. Chicago
Please, look closely at the photographs as I have tried to show you the condition of the tin.
The scratches in the paint are clearly visible.
Shipping is via USPS and is generally the day after payment is received. The tin will be well wrapped in bubble wrap to protect it during shipping.
